Most of the people who have said they didn't like Dr. Ofsa have taken 100 level courses. Newsflash: They all suck. Once you actually get up into the higher level English courses, you realize that he's probably as great as it gets. He's very informative and he genuinely cares about the students he's teaching. He is very knowledgeable.
I am an English major and have had Dr. O for four courses so far. I think he is amazing and is one of the great prof.s at CU. For his higher level courses, the material is quite difficult. Yet, if you pay attention and try difficult you will find the material enlightening and you will succeed. Take him if you get the chance!
Great teacher! Really wants you to learn
One commenter said that English was their major until they had Ofsa, because he "looses exams." Maybe it's a great thing you dropped. Anyway, I thought Ofsa's class was pretty simple, just dull.
Worst teacher I have ever had at Concord. I made an A on the first exam, B's on the other two, and never found out what I made on the final. Yet, I got a C in the class. Explain that one to me! He gives wdislikever grade HE wants to give you, and if you are not a "pretty girl" expect nothing higher than a C.
Don't buy book. liked English prior to this class. Very dull. Doesn't require students to think. Terrible essay topics to write about. Would not recommend if you want to better your writing. friendly guy, but his class does not make students think. This class was not worth my time. Learned nothing. |
